Ms. Bonsai Peng
PQ Guitar/Composition Instructor
Bonsai took up the piano at age five. In 2014, she was admitted with excellent grades to Sichuan Conservatory Of Music, and started her study in BMus in Composition with composer Yuan Guo who received a doctorate of composition from Tokyo University of the Arts. She currently pursues her master degree in composition at Hochschule für Musik Freiburg under the tutelage of professor Johannes Schöllhorn. She enrolled in the school with high praise.
In 2008, Bonsai started to learn how to play folk guitar. She started to be a guitar class tutor in 2013 with profound experience in playing the guitar and basic music theory. In 2019, the premieres of her guitar quartet composition work entitled Short Circuit || brought in glowing reviews.
She is currently conducting a sound installation project to commemorate Nam June Paik, a Korean American artist who is considered to be the founder of video art.
